Job Title: Volunteer Victim Advocate

Location: Remote

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Victim Advocate. In this role, you will provide critical support to victims of sexual assault and other crimes. You will work closely with victims to help them navigate the criminal justice system, access resources, and heal from their trauma.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and support to victims of sexual assault and other crimes
  • Assist victims with navigating the criminal justice system
  • Connect victims with resources, such as counseling, medical care, and financial assistance
  • Advocate for victims’ rights and interests
  • Provide training and education to law enforcement, military personnel, and other professionals on victim advocacy

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with victims of crime
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to victim advocacy and social justice
